How to Order

Ordering on Sports Place takes less than two minutes. Here's the full flow from browsing to receiving your item.

1. Browse the catalogue — head to All Products, or use the Categories and Brands pages to narrow down what you're looking for. You can also use the search bar at the top of every page.
2. Add items to your cart — from any product card, click Add to cart. If the item has sizes or customization (printed name, badges, etc.), a panel will open so you can pick them. Set your quantity there too.
3. Open your cart — click the cart icon in the header to review everything. You can change quantities, remove lines, or clear the whole cart from here.
4. Proceed to checkout — hit Proceed to Checkout. You'll land on the checkout page with your order summary on the right.
5. Enter your details — full name, phone number, and (optionally) an email if you'd like order updates by email.
6. Choose Pickup or Delivery —
   • Pickup — collect from our shop, no delivery fee.
   • Delivery — pick your zone from the searchable list; the cost is added to your total automatically.
7. Choose how you'll pay — see the Payment Options section below. The available methods depend on whether you chose pickup or delivery.
8. Place your order — click Place Order. The payment sheet opens; confirm your method and, for M-Pesa, paste your transaction message.
9. You're done — you'll be redirected to a confirmation page with your order number. If you paid by M-Pesa, we'll verify the payment and update the status. If you chose pay-on-pickup, just come collect — no further action needed.

Payment Options

We accept two payment methods. Which ones are available to you depends on whether you selected Pickup or Delivery at checkout.

Payment Before Dispatch

In practice, this means:

• Delivery + M-Pesa Paybill — you pay at checkout and paste your confirmation message. Once our team verifies the payment, the order status changes to Paid and we dispatch.
• Any customization — you pay at checkout and paste your confirmation message. Once our team verifies the payment, the order status changes to Paid and we dispatch.
• Delivery + Pay on Pickup — not offered.
• Pickup + M-Pesa Paybill — you can pay ahead and collect once confirmed, or pay on arrival.
• Pickup + Pay on Pickup — no upfront payment. The order is marked paid the moment you collect and pay.

If you need to pay by a method we don't offer online — bulk order, invoice, bank transfer — message us on WhatsApp before placing the order and we'll arrange it.

Delivery & Pickup

Pickup

Collect your order from our physical shop, free of charge:

• Location: Platinum Plaza Basement, Shop B18, Tom Mboya Street, Nairobi
• Map: Open in Google Maps
• What to bring: your order number (from the confirmation page) and your phone. We'll match it to the order when you arrive.

Delivery

We deliver across Nairobi and countrywide. Delivery fees are shown live at checkout once you pick your zone:

• Nairobi CBD — flat rate KES 100
• Nairobi & outskirts — typically delivered within 8 hours
• Rest of Kenya — typically delivered within 24 hours via courier, charges applied per zone

The full list of zones and their fees lives on the checkout page — search for your estate, road, or area and the price appears next to it.

Please note: delivery times are estimates. Traffic, weather, and courier schedules can occasionally push things out. If your order is time-sensitive, mention it in the notes or message us on WhatsApp and we'll do our best.

Cancellation & Returns

Cancelling an order

You can cancel an order any time before fulfillment starts — that is, while it's still Pending, Awaiting Payment, or Paid. Once an order is Out for Delivery or Ready for Pickup, the goods are already in motion and cannot be cancelled online; contact us directly and we'll sort it out case-by-case.

To cancel, message us on WhatsApp with your order number and a short reason. Any payment already made will be refunded to the M-Pesa number it came from, usually within 24 hours.

Returns & exchanges

• Items can be returned within 24 hours of delivery or pickup, provided they're unused, unworn, and in their original packaging with tags intact.
• Customized items — printed names, numbers, sleeve badges, and similar personalization — cannot be returned unless the item is defective or the customization is incorrect on our side.
• If you receive the wrong item, a damaged item, or an item that doesn't match what you ordered, message us within 48 hours with a photo and we'll replace it or refund you at no cost.
• Return shipping for change-of-mind returns is paid by the customer. Defective or incorrect items are returned at our cost.

Terms & Conditions

By placing an order on Sports Place, you agree to the following.

Pricing

• All prices are shown in Kenyan Shillings (KES) and include VAT where applicable.
• Prices are subject to change without notice. Once you place an order, the price you paid is locked in — we will not ask you for more.
• In the rare case of a pricing error (e.g. a typo in a listing), we reserve the right to cancel and refund the order before dispatch. You'll always be notified first.

Payment

• Delivery orders must be paid before dispatch. Orders without verified payment will not be handed to the courier.
• Pickup orders may be paid on collection if you chose that option at checkout.
• For M-Pesa orders, we verify the confirmation message you paste against our account. If the message doesn't match a real payment, the order will be held until it's resolved.
• We do not store card details. All M-Pesa transactions happen directly between you and Safaricom.

Delivery

• Delivery timelines are estimates, not guarantees. We'll always aim to hit them, but external factors (traffic, weather, courier delays) can extend them.
• The delivery fee is set by zone and shown before you confirm the order. Once confirmed, it's fixed.
• Orders are only dispatched once payment is confirmed (delivery orders). If you paid by M-Pesa but the confirmation message was wrong or missing, dispatch will be delayed.

Product availability

• Stock is not guaranteed. In the rare case an item sells out between your order and dispatch, we'll contact you to arrange a replacement, store credit, or a full refund.
• Product images are for illustration. Actual colours and details may vary slightly from what you see on screen.

Privacy

• We collect your name, phone number, and (optionally) email strictly to process and deliver your order. We never sell or share your details with third parties for marketing purposes.
• Newsletter subscriptions are opt-in only. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every email.

Liability

Sports Place is not liable for indirect losses arising from delayed deliveries, missed events, or circumstances outside our control. Our liability is limited to the value of the order placed.
